Akira is a personal project and a creative outlet to explore a retrofuturism automotive design in a cyberpunk setting.
Throughout the process, I studied the form and inserted my own interpretation. While the aesthetic deviates slightly from the original design, I made sure to stay true to its essence. Ultimately, the main intention of this exercise is to pay homage to Katsuhiro Otomo, creator of AKIRA and the iconic bike from one from my favorite films.
I wanted to recreate the iconic motorbike using parametric workflow with solid and surface hybrid modeling techniques.
